Tabora Anglican Training Centre (TATC) is the only Anglican theological institution owned by the Anglican Diocese of Tabora, Tanzania. Established in 1997, it was founded to address the shortage of qualified lay and ordained ministers within the diocese.
Programs offered at Tabora Anglican Training Centre (TATC) include six-month and three-month evangelist training, as well as one-month Sunday School training. Our graduates return to their sending churches to serve as full-time evangelists, church planters, Sunday school teachers, and youth and women’s group leaders. Many others continue their theological studies for ordained or non-ordained church ministries. Since its inception, more than 250 students have graduated.
Despite our Anglican identity, we accept students from other Christian denominations into our programs. In recent years, we have welcomed students from the Moravian Church of Tanzania and various Pentecostal churches. TATC also regularly receives students from other Anglican dioceses throughout Tanzania.
