Inclusive Outreach to People with Disabilities
The Diocese of Tabora launched an outreach project focused on inclusive and transformative development, specifically assisting people with disabilities in eight parishes: Tutuo, Kanindo, Nkokoto, Ndala, Goweko, Usinge, Nkulusi, and Igagala Number 5.
This initiative was designed not only to respond to immediate needs but to empower individuals for long-term economic self-reliance. Beneficiaries were provided with chickens and pigs, enabling them to establish small-scale, income-generating activities within their communities. These livestock ventures are expected to contribute significantly to household income and food security.
In addition to economic support, the Diocese also distributed clothing, a gesture that aimed to restore dignity, enhance self-worth, and offer comfort to those often marginalized. The project was carried out with a spirit of love, compassion, and respect affirming that every person, regardless of physical ability, is valued and worthy of care and inclusion.
Our Diocese is commitment to inclusive and transformative development. We’re implementing a meaningful Outreach Project aimed at supporting people with disabilities across our eight parishes.

The Diocese of Tabora was inaugurated on 2nd July 1989. The current Diocesan Bishop is the Rt. Rev. Dr. Elias Chakupewa Mazi who was consecrated and enthroned since 29th May, 2011.
