The Tanzania Anglican Youth Organization (TAYO) is a part of the Anglican Church of Tanzania, created by the church’s young members in the early 1980s.
TAYO works with youth on social, economic, and spiritual matters, guided by church leaders such as evangelists, pastors, and bishops.
TAYO’s Vision
We envision all young people in the church becoming well-rounded individuals who are strong in their Christian faith, fully engaged in church activities, and committed to serving their communities with love.
TAYO’s Mission:
Our mission is to empower young people to fulfill their potential—spiritually, mentally, and physically—so they can contribute fully to both the church and society.
The Diocese of Tabora was inaugurated on 2nd July 1989. The current Diocesan Bishop is the Rt. Rev. Dr. Elias Chakupewa Mazi who was consecrated and enthroned since 29th May, 2011.
